Unionville Skating Club has been teaching the community to skate since 1950. Our programs encourage a true love of the sport, from Beginner to Advanced, Recreational to Competitive. We offer expert instruction, from Preschool to Adult, with excellent CanSkate, STARSkate, Power Skating and Synchronized Skating programs. Club membership totals over 400 skaters and the Club traditionally produces an Ice Fantasia every second year (2007).
Coaches wishing to join our dynamic team must be energetic, self-motivated, and positive, with excellent communication and collaborative skills. Successful applicants will bring with them creative ideas and be capable of working closely with the USC Board, coaching team, parents and skaters.
We are seeking NCCP certified freeskate/ skills / dance coaches (male dance partners) for STARSKATE programs, with the opportunity to coach privately from Intermediate to Senior levels. We are also accepting applications for a Skate Canada qualified Power Skating coach. Successful applicants will be expected to coach some PRESCHOOL, CANSKATE and possibly ADULT sessions. Applicants must have current first aid certification and comply with new Skate Canada police check regulations.
Our programs run for a total of approx. 25 hours during late afternoons and evenings from Monday to Friday and all day Saturday at the Crosby Memorial Arena, located on Unionville Main Street at the intersection of Carlton and Main.
