Competing at USC

At USC, there are many opportunities for our skaters to participate in invitational competitions - both individually, as a solo skater as well as on a team, with USC's two synchronized skating teams, Sparkling Ice.

Notwithstanding the fun and camaraderie that goes hand in hand with competitions, competitions help skaters learn to focus and set goals, deal with success and failure, manage time and learn good sportsmanship.

In 2008/09, USC proudly took home 49 medals from invitational competitions and placed 2nd overall in the Provincial STARSkate championship! Our pre-juvenile synchronized skating team, Sparkling Ice also took home 4 medals in 4 competitions and placed 2nd overall in the Ontario Regional Championships! And although we are very proud of these tremendous accomplishments, we are equally proud of the sportsmanship and professionalism that each and every one of our skaters represented our club with. Congratulations to all of our skaters for a tremendous year - you make us so proud!

If you are interested in competing, please discuss this with your coach and/or our Competitive Chair.
