Testing at USC

Once a skater has completed the CanSkate program, they can move up to the STARSkate program. The STARSkate program focuses on skill development in four key areas of figure skating including:

Although not mandatory, skaters in the STARSkate program have the opportunity to participate in Skate Canada's "Testing Stream" where skaters undertake prescribed tests during organized test sessions, called "Test Days". Test Days are judged by Skate Canada professional judges and, similar to the CanSkate program, badges, medals and pins may be achieved through the successful completion of tests.
