Call for Nominations! Get involved at USC

Good Morning USC Families!

USC is  a non-profit organization, governed and operated by a Board of Directors. This Board is made up of volunteers who generously donate their time to manage the Club operations. You as parents bring many great skills through volunteering your time and talents to make our Club a special place to skate.

We are looking for Nominations for our 2015-16 Board of Directors. 

If you are interested in joining our Board of Directors, please contact Pamela Nitert at
or Christine Miners at  prior to Friday June 5, 2015. Acclamation or elections (if required) will be held at the Annual General Meeting on Thursday June 11, 2015.
What is involved? 
THe USC Board is responsible for ensuring that the Club operates under the rules and regulations of Skate Canada. Please visit the link on our homepage regarding Nominations to see the volunteer opportunities that await you. A brief summary of USC Board positions can be found there. Some of the jobs we are looking to fill are: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Competitive Chair, Test Chair, CanSkate Co-ordinator, Communications, Coach Liaison, Social Chair, Synchro Liaison, Website, Ice Allocation, Publicity. A brief description of each role including approximate time commitment is there, as well as suggested skills for each role. We have so many talented parents!!
We have always been proud to call USC  an amazing club with so many active volunteers. The recent experience of Ice Fantasia 2015 was a testament to our faithful, committed volunteers. We couldn’t do it without you! Please consider joining the USC Board today! Many positions have a “shadowing” opportunity where a departing Board member is willing to help the incoming Board member and “show them the way” to ensure success in the new role.
