Everything You Need to Know About Our Policies!
Make-up classes are not permitted for any missed sessions.
To withdraw from a session, written notification must be received by the office at office@unionvilleskatingclub.com no later than 6:00 PM, five (5) business days prior to the first scheduled class. A full credit will be issued to the skater’s USC account without any administrative fees.
If withdrawing after the first class (regardless of attendance), written notification must be received by the office at office@unionvilleskatingclub.com no later than 6:00 PM on the business day prior to the second scheduled class. A credit, minus a $40 administrative fee, will be issued to the skater’s USC account.
No credits or refunds will be issued once the second class has commenced.
Withdrawals due to medical reasons require a doctor’s note explicitly stating the medical condition and indicating that the skater is unable to participate for the remainder of the skating season. The note must include the date issued by the medical professional. Partial or temporary medical absences (e.g., minor illnesses or injuries allowing for later return within the same season) do not qualify for refunds or credits. However, if a skater sustains a suspected or confirmed concussion during participation in USC programming, Rowan’s Law requirements will apply. The skater must be removed from participation immediately and will not be permitted to return until all required return-to-sport protocols have been completed. A medical clearance note will be required. In such cases, USC will review the situation individually and may issue a pro-rated credit for the remainder of the season, upon submission of appropriate documentation.
If Unionville Skating Club (USC) must cancel or alter a session due to unforeseen circumstances—such as inclement weather, facility closures, or other disruptions—a pro-rated credit will be issued to the affected skater’s USC account. Make-up sessions will not be available. The club will communicate these changes via email.
Please consult your base coach (if applicable) for advice on the appropriate session to register for. Refer to the session requirement list for detailed eligibility criteria. Skaters may be required to provide proof of meeting these requirements. Skaters registering for sessions that do not match their qualification level will be subject to a $40 administrative fee if they need to be moved to the correct session. Skaters who are moving up due to achieving higher-level qualifications (for example, passing the FASTTrack audition or completing the "C" level PreStar or Star Development session) will not incur this administrative fee.
All requests for withdrawals or medical considerations must be submitted in writing to office@unionvilleskatingclub.com. Credits issued can only be applied towards future USC programming. For further questions or clarification, please contact us at office@unionvilleskatingclub.com.
